Pick a Pumpkin with Copper Accents

Welcome Back Crafters!
Blogging for stampers can be a fun way to express ourselves as well as share what we love to do.  But for this card, getting a photograph of it has been a challenge!  I've made this card about a month ago.  In person I love it but I've photographed it about 20 times and I am still not happy with it.  However, I have decided post and move on.
Life isn't perfect and neither am I.
I used copper thread and copper embossing powder for the sentiments and both show up blurry.  In person it's a dazzling accent.  The colors I chose are pumpkin pie, lemon lime twist, berry burst, and Bermuda bay.  Very colorful against the black embossed background.  Fun and whimsical.

Watercolor Paper Scraps

Welcome to my blog everyone!
Do you have scraps hanging around your craft room and think to yourself, "how can I use this?"  Well I do.  Water color paper is more expensive than regular card stock so I always try to use it all.  I used a scrap of water color paper to make this card.  It had a smudge on it so I turned it over to use the other side.  GUESS WHAT?  Smudged.

I grabbed my Aqua Painter and started laying down a background color knowing I was going to use this "Pick a Pumpkin" stamp set by Stampin' Up.  I wanted to use Calypso Coral for a pumpkin color because it isn't the traditional pumpkin color.  Using the matching die cuts I created this with my scrap paper.  Not bad for scraps.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Let me know below, how you use your scraps.

Merry Patterns # 2

Welcome back to my blog!
***If you refer to my last blog post, I used this set but I used just the candles.
This is made from the "Merry Patterns" Stamp Set that is exclusive this month for anyone who Hosts a $300 workshop or makes a $300 purchase with Stampin' Up before Oct. 31st.

To make the background on the card I used the candles flames and turned them upside down and used Night of Navy ink on the same color card stock.  The 'tis the Season stamp is a 2 step stamp that stamps the outline in one color and the other stamp uses a different color. Having it outlined, pops the image.  I added the little ribbon bow around his neck after I popped him up and placed some silver metallic thread behind him for some interest and dimension to this card. I love how it looks.
